A Strategy is Just a Strategy

Developing strategy The other day I was reading an article about single-tasking and multi-tasking. I don’t seem to understand why someone would like to go into so much detail about the pros and cons of one strategy over the other.

Isn’t both strategies just that, strategies? The only purpose of a strategy is to help it’s user get something done, effectively. To be effective is the deciding factor. Period.

The way to know which strategy is effective for you is to give them all a shot. Stick with the one that works for you and move on.

Do not confuse strategy with the ultimate goal. The goal is not to become an expert user of one strategy over the other. The goal is to achieve what you want to achieve.

Keep your eyes on the prize.

Good advise Sunny. I think again it may be based on belief systems. If your belief is that you are a great solver of problems or a great strategist then that is what your behaviur will show. The behaviour is an effect the beliefs are the cause. The great thing is that we can eliminate some of those beliefs which are causing unwanted effects.
The ultimate goal in life is happiness not struggle. I have confused the two and I thank you once again for making this clear to us. Easy to get lost in the fog of action and forget that if we are not enjoying it then even the future goal may be pointless. A bit like an athlete who spends 10 years really hating every moment of training and wins the 10 second Olympic 100 metres.I yhink it is important that we enjoy our actions while we are living them each day and not store happiness and hoard it for the distant future.

    Kind Regards
