Beginning Meditation
Question: Have you ever, in your life, looked into the eyes of someone and forgotten yourself?
I mean temporarily, of course, or either you would be in a psychiatric clinic right now or a spiritual master.
Imagine that moment of forgetfulness and yet a strange kind of awareness.
You might have experienced that moment when you looked into the eyes of your child for the first time or maybe when someone very close to your heart embraced you with all his soul.
The specific circumstances may differ but you know what I am talking about, don’t you? That warm feeling inside you that made you forget all your worries. That is what I am talking about.
If you remember that moment, you will recall, that in that moment:
You were one with your surroundings
There was a certain blissful calm gently hugging you
There was no tension, no stress, no anxiety
There was no longing for anything either
There was no disturbing mental chatter bothering you
You were experiencing everything as an aspect of your own being
You were perfect, you were complete
That moment is Meditation.
Would you like to experience that bliss often? I bet you would and I also bet that you can. You can condition yourself to get to that place which is already inside you.
In that place within you, there is is bliss and peace. There is no lack in there, only abundance. There is no striving, just being.
You can go to that place inside you by beginning to meditate.
Meditation brings clarity and calm in your life. It brings peace within you. It teaches you the significance of mindfulness.
It teaches you that you are not just your name, just your body. It reminds you that you are part of a Great Magnificence and thus magnificent already.
It encourages you to look within and discover the gems of your own Higher Self. It opens the door to a wonderful world with amazing adventures to lead you on to a journey within you.
Open yourself to the idea of meditating at least for 15 to 20 minutes everyday. There are many different techniques to meditate. Try them and see which technique suits you the most and hang on to it.
